KBOX MAINTENANCE

Strap Cautions

The Strap and its attachment to the axle is the most sensitive part of the
kBox.  Be attentive to wear and check regularly

When  the  Strap  shows  signs  of  wear,  cut  off  the  damaged  area  or
replace it with an original spare Strap.

Cutting off a damaged Strap

If damage occurs close to the end, it may be possible to simply cut off
the damaged end and reinstall the new end.  Do that as follows:

•  Turn the kBox over.

 •  Push the strap through the axis and remove the holding pin

 •  Cut off the damaged strap.

 • Wrap strap around holding pin and pull strap and pin into the grove.

 •  Strap automatically locks into the grove.

Replacing the Strap

Remove the strap end attached to the flywheel as described above and
pull that end of the strap through the opening in the platform.  Follow
these steps to complete the replacement:

1. Remove the strap from the take-up spool by removing the outer disc.

Note  the  disassembly  sequence  and  reassembly  in  the  reverse
order after change of strap.

2. Unroll the strap

3. Pull out the double folded strap and the metal pin, which locks the

strap into the length-adjustment assembly.
