This guide describes the PowerCage 401 enclosure and provides instructions for installing
all components of the system.
NOTE:
Observe all applicable building codes and local ordinances when installing the
enclosure.
Product Description
The PowerCage 401 is a 1U high, rack-mountable, 4-slot enclosure with vents, fans, and
two integrated power supplies that supports a wide range of Extron fiber optic transmitter
and receiver boards. It provides an efficient way to power and mount multiple transmitters
and receivers. It features both RS-232, Ethernet, and USB control and a front panel LCD
screen.
A PowerCage 401 system can include any combination of PowerCage 401 fiber optic
(FOX) boards mounted within the PowerCage enclosure. Each optional board operates
independently of the others. This is an integrated system of individual transmitters and
receivers, not a matrixed system.
