This section provides procedures for accessing and using the PowerCage 401 internal
pages. Topics in this section include:

The internal web page displays information about the device and provides basic
configuration options. For more detailed configuration options, use SIS commands (see
starting on page 22 or the Extron PCS (see
Web Page Access
To access the internal web page, perform the following:
1.
Connect the PowerCage 401 to a LAN or WAN through the rear panel LAN (RJ-45) port
using a web browser.
NOTE:
If the Ethernet connection to the PowerCage 401 is unstable, try turning off
the proxy server in the browser.
2.
On a connected PC, open a browser.
NOTE:
The internal page does not support compatibility mode in Microsoft
®
Internet Explorer
®
.
3.
Enter the IP address of the device in the browser
Address
field.
NOTE:
The default IP address is
192.168.254.254
.
4.
Press the <
Enter
> key on the keyboard.
5.
The PowerCage 401 checks if the device is password-protected and performs one of
the following:
•
If the device password has been removed, the page opens.
•
If the device is password-protected, enter a user name (
user
or
admin
) in the
User
Name
field and the password in the
Password
field when prompted.
NOTE:
The factory configured passwords for all accounts on this enclosure have
been set to the enclosure serial number. In the event of a complete system reset,
the passwords convert to the default, which is no password (see
page 43 to change a password).
6.
Click the
OK
button.
