Remote Control
This section describes the remote control operation of the FOX II T HD 4K transmitter,
including:

Product Configuration Software
The transmitter has a front panel Configuration port, a USB mini-B connector (see
on page 8) and a rear panel Remote RS-232 port, a 3-pole
captive screw connector (see
on page 6 and
on
page 9). Either of these ports can be connected to a host device such as a computer
running the HyperTerminal or DataViewer utility, or a control system to make remote control
of the transmitter possible.
The protocol for the serial port is as follows:
•
9600 baud
•
no parity
•
8 data bits
•
1 stop bit
•
no flow control
Simple Instruction Set Control
Host-to-Unit Instructions
SIS commands consist of one or more characters per field. No special characters are
required to begin or end a command character sequence. When a command is valid, the
unit executes the command and sends a response to the host device. All responses from
the unit to the host end with a carriage return and a line feed (CR/LF =

), which signals the
end of the response character string. A string is one or more characters.
