Filling / descaling the water boiler
DANGER for children
~
Ceramic parts could be swallowed or inhaled by children:
-
Never remove ceramic parts from the water boiler.
-
Keep the water boiler away from children.
WARNING! Risk of caustic vapours
~
Do not descale the water boiler in the appliance.
CAUTION! – Risk of property damage
~
Do not immerse the water boiler in water or other liquids.
~
Do not put the water boiler in a dishwasher.
The water boiler is a wear part. In order to extend its service life and to ensure
optimal working with the appliance, we recommend using lime-free / deminer-
alised water.
Using tap water may result in the service life being reduced. Tap water with a
high hardness should be demineralised with a commercially available filter.
Check water boiler for mineral deposits and regularly descale depending on the
hardness of the water.
The water boiler contains small ceramic parts. The ceramic parts significantly
slow down the accumulation of limescale. They must therefore not be removed
from the water boiler.
We recommend emptying any remaining water from the water boiler every day
at the end of work and then rinsing the water boiler with cold water.
1. Push the locking mechanism of the cover forwards. The cover flips open au-
tomatically.
2. Open / unlock the water boiler at the handle and lift it upwards out of the
shaft.
3. Clean the outside of the water boiler with a damp (not wet) cloth.
4. Clean the seal surfaces in the shaft with a damp (not wet) cloth.
5. Remove the water boiler from the appliance before descaling.
