: If your fiber-optic cable is not properly aligned and/or connected, you will notice heavy loss and
reflection.
EXFO uses good quality connectors in compliance with EIA-455-21A standards.
To keep connectors clean and in good condition, EXFO strongly recommends inspecting them with a
fiber inspection probe before connecting them. Failure to do so will result in permanent damage to
the connectors and degradation in measurements.
