Live Signal Thr
(dBm)
This parameter allows the user to specify the live signal threshold used by the
CableSHARK. Values are from –25 to –45 dBm, with the default being –30 dBm.
When the CableSHARK detects a live signal on the line during the execution of a test
the unit will not perform the measurement. Instead, the CableSHARK will prompt the
user with “Live Signal Detected”. A live signal could be from AC influence, excessive
crosstalk, etc. The test is not performed as the live signal may influence a test in such a
way that the CableSHARK may present inaccurate results.

Allows the user to specify the operating environment of the CableSHARK; either ANSI
