J.6.1.2 Print
The Print function enables the operator to print a previously stored set of test results, or a screen capture.
When printing test results, this function is most useful for printing the entire set of results. If you wish to print
a partial set of results, or certain pages only, then printing from the Print Preview function is a better choice,
because you can view what information appears on each page before you print.
To activate the Print function, click on the Print icon.
Alternatively, the Print function can be activated by clicking on the “File” entry on the Menu Bar and then
clicking on the “Print” entry on the menu that appears. A quicker way to activate the Print function is to hold
down the CTRL key and press the “P” key.
Invoking the Print function causes a Windows® print dialog box to be displayed. The print dialog box
facilitates the selection of the desired printer, number of copies as well as which pages to print (if there is
more than one page). Select the desired printer by clicking on the button with a downward pointing arrow (to
the left of the properties button) and select the desired printer from the drop-down list that appears. To print,
make the desired selections and click on the “OK” button. To cancel the print dialog, click on the Cancel
button.
If it is necessary to change the properties of the printer such as paper size, paper orientation, print quality
etc, click on the Properties button. The properties dialog lists several options that are intrinsic to your printer.
For a description of the options for your particular printer, please consult the User’s Guide for your printer, as
options and settings vary among printer manufacturers. After you have set the printer’s properties, click OK
to accept the new settings or click Cancel to abort this operation.
Please note that your printer settings are saved until you terminate your Visi-SHARK session. When you
start Visi-SHARK again, your printer properties are automatically set to the Windows® default values.
However, you can change the default settings for your printer in Windows® Control Panel. Consult
Windows® Help for more information.
To print, make the desired selections and click on the “OK” button. To cancel the print dialog, click on the
“Cancel” button.
J.6.1.3 Print Preview
Print Preview will give you a full-screen preview of what the actual printout will look like. It is especially
useful for printing individual pages when you want to check and see what information will appear on each
page.
Click on the Print Preview icon to activate print preview.
