Ethernet Interface Configuration Page
This page allows the administrator to set the muting, alarm, and duplex settings of the ETH1, ETH2,
and ETH3 connections, and allows determination of the management information for in-band (carried
over the air and available from both Ethernet connectors on either end of the link) or out-of-band (not
carried over the air and only available from the local PoE connector).
Figure 32 Ethernet Interface Configuration page
The management function of each port can be assigned as:
•
In-Band Management – All ports can pass traffic over the link and also have access to
management of the radio. Management traffic is carried over the link.
•
Out-of-band Management – Each port can be set to either Traffic or Management. All ports set to
traffic are connected together and pass traffic over the link, and all ports set to management are
connected together, but separated from the traffic and do not go over the link. Management is not
available over the wireless link in this configuration (unless externally switched or routed to a
Traffic port).
•
Legacy Management (EX-6i-DS3-GigE only) – ports can be selected as Traffic, Management, or
Management. In this configuration, all ports set to Traffic are NOT connected together,
but each individual port has the ability to send and receive traffic over the link. Too, all ports set to
Management are NOT connected together, but each individual port can send and receive
management information to the connected radio.
