USER’S MANUAL - CBC-40 battery charger
CAUTION: Lead-Acid batteries can emit explosive gases when charged. Prevent sparks and
fire sources close to the battery. Provide good ventilation – appliance should be used only
in well ventilated areas.
Safety instructions:
1. This appliance can be used by children from 8 years and above and people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
2. The device should be used only with properly grounded power sockets.
3. The mains socket outlet must be close to the equipment and easily accessible.
4. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not
be performed by children, unless they are over 8 years old and supervised.
5. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
6. The device should be used only with properly grounded power sockets.
7. The mains socket outlet must be close to the equipment and easily accessible.
8. This charger is intended for use only with 12V/24V batteries - VRLA, AGM, VLA, SLA, WET,
GEL, LEAD ACID. Always check battery's manual for technical specification, charger
recommendation and safety precautions. Attempting to charge other types of batteries may
cause personal injury, damage to the charger or lead to a fire and/or explosion.
9. The charger is intended for indoor use only. Exposure to any liquids or moisture can cause
damage to the charger and battery. Do not allow foreign objects to enter the charger. This
could result in electrical shock or fire. Do not cover the cooling fan, always allow uninterrupted
air flow.
10. Disconnect the charger from the power socket when not in use.
11. Never use an extension cord or any attachment not recommended by the manufacturer.
12. Do not operate the charger if it has been subjected to shock or damage. Take it to a
qualified serviceman for repair.
13. Do not attempt to disassemble the charger as it may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
The device does not contain any user serviceable parts.
14. Unplug the charger from the power supply before attempting any cleaning. Use only a soft
damp cloth. Do not use water, detergents or alcohol.

16. Never charge a frozen or damaged battery.
17. Do not short circuit output cables as it can cause sparking.
18. Ensure correct polarity (+ RED, - BLACK) when connecting to a battery. Reverse polarity
may cause irreversible damage to charger and/or battery.
19. Never place the charger close to the battery. Do not cover the charger when in use.
20. The charger uses fan for active cooling. Keep away from dust sources when operating.
