PERFORMING A RECEPTION ATTEMPT

In order to perform a manual search for the radio signal (e.g. if you brought the 
travel alarm clock to a different location), press the °C/°F button (6) for three 
seconds.

This will start a new reception attempt. Then, as described above, wait for a few 
minutes until the correct time is displayed.

SETTING THE TIME MANUALLY

If signal reception is not possible, the time can also be set manually. However, the 
clock will continue to attempt detection of signal several times a day and and sets 
the received time after successful detection of a signal.

-

   Hold the MODE button (2) pressed for about two seconds until the region display 

fl ashes.

-

  Use the ADJUST button (3) to select the region where you are:

-

   Press the MODE button (2) again and set the language for display of the week-

days using the ADJUST button (3):

-

   Proceed as described above in order to set the DST function, the hour/minute/

second/year/month/date and date formate display.

-

   Press the MODE (2) button again or wait for 30 seconds to save your settings.

TIME ZONE (ONLY FOR WWVB RECEPTION)

There are four time zones for the display of the time in the USA.

-

   Press the MODE button (2) and set the desired time zone using the ADJUST but-

ton (3):

 P=Pacifi c (default setting)/M=Mountain/C=Central/E=Eastern

-

   Press the MODE button (2) again or wait for 30 seconds to save your settings.

DISPLAY LIGHT

-

   Press the SNOOZE/LIGHTbutton (4) to turn on the display backlight for a few 

seconds.

TEMPERATURE UNIT

-

   Press the °C/°F button (6) briefl y to toggle the unit for the temperature display.

ALARM FUNCTION

Setting the alarm:

-

  Press the MODE button (2) briefl ly to select the alarm display.

-

   Hold the MODE button (2) pressed for two seconds until the hour display of the 

alarm time fl ashes.

-

   Set the hours for the alarm time using the ADJUST button (3).

-

   Press the MODE button (2) again and set the minutes for the alarm time using 

the ADJUST button (3).

-

   Press the MODE button (2) three times or wait for 30 seconds to save your set-

tings and return to the normal display.

  The alarm function is activated automatically after making these settings.

   Press the MODE button (2) in normal operation once to display the alarm.

Alarm modes:

-

   Press the ALARM button (5) until the desired function is shown in the display (1):

 

No symbol = alarm function off

 

Bell symbol = normal alarm function

 

Bell symbol with “Zz” = alarm function with snooze

-

  The alarm sounds at the set alarm time, if the alarm function is activated.

-

   If the normal alarm function was selected, switch off the alarm by pressing the 

ALARM button (5) or the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4). The alarm will sound at the 
same time the following day.

-

   If the alarm function with snooze was selected, switch off the alarm until the 

next day by pressing the ALARM button (5) as described above or press the 
SNOOZE/LIGHT button (4) to activate the snooze function.

Snooze function:

-

   The alarm is repeated up to 13 times in 5-minute intervals. The alarm sounds for 

1 minutes.

-

   In order to switch off the alarm until the next day, press the ALARM button (5).

SECOND TIME ZONE

The radio-controlled travel alarm clock can also display the time of a timezone.

-

  Press the MODE button (2) twice and DUAL TIME will be shown in the display.

-

   Hold the MODE button (2) pressed for two seconds until the HR display 

appears.

-

   Set the time difference to the current time using the ADJUST button (3). The 

setting range is +/- 23.

-

   Press the MODE button (2) twice or wait for 30 seconds to save your settings and 

return to the normal display.

-

   Press the MODE button (2) in normal operation twice to display the time of the 

2nd timezone.

LOCATION

Select an even, fl at and stable installation location. Protect valuable furniture 
surfaces by using an appropriate underlay otherwise scratch marks can occur.

Fold out the stand (8) and position the travel alarm clock so that it cannot fall down.

To ensure correct radio signal reception, the radio-controlled travel alarm clock 
should not be placed next to electronic devices, cables, metal parts and so on. 

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Apart from replacing the batteries, the product does not require any maintenance 
and should never be disassembled.

Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning.

Do not use aggressive detergents as these can cause discoloration of the case.

DISPOSAL

a) Product

   Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed 

of in the household waste!

 

 Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the 
current statutory requirements.

 

 Remove any inserted battery and dispose of it separately from the product.

b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries

The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and 
rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!

   Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these sym-

bols to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The sym-
bols for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead 
(marking can be seen on the battery/rechargeable battery, e.g., underneath 
the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).

You can dispose of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at your 
community’s collection point or any place where batteries/rechargeable batteries 
are sold!

You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the 
environment.
