Sauté (frying)
Use this function for sauteing/browning, typically before cooking under pressure or
Slow cooking. The „Sauté“ program is usually used for meat, vegetables, poultry,
egg, to brown onion, for reducing the luquid after cooking under pressure or for obtaining
a full sauce for your food. Select the desired heating temperature by pressing the „Preferences“
button:
Less: 135 ~ 160 °C /
Normal: 160 ~ 180 °C /
More: 180 ~ 200 °C
Allow the pot to preheat for 3 to 4 minutes before insert the food. After the sauteing
browning process is complete, press the „Keep warm/Cancel“ button and select the next
program. Let the pressure cooker cool down 2-3 minutes after the „Sauté“ function has
finished before you start cooking under pressure. Do not use the top lid during the „Sauté“
program.
Steam
„Steam“ button is designed for steaming. You can steam, for example, vegetables,
seafood or warm food with a steam cooker. Make sure the valve lever is in the
„
Exhaust
“ position. When you finish cooking vegetables and seafood, use a quick release
of steam to prevent the food from overcooking. To steam fresh or frozen vegetables, use
1 ~ 2 cups (160 ml) of water for 1 ~ 2 minutes. Use the „+“ or „-“ button to change the
length of the steaming. Unlike other pressurized cooking functions, the pressure cooker
works at full during the „Steam“ program. This can burn the food if it is in direct contact with
the bottom of the inner pot. Please use a adaptor for warming up and cooking of foodstuff
in steam that fits into the inner pot.
Manual
It is used to manually program the pressure and cooking time according to your
favorite recipe or your preferences. Setting your own cooking time is ideal for
cooking meat or poultry weighing more than 1.5 kg.
•
Put the food in the inner pot.
•
Close the top lid by turning it clockwise.
•
Make sure that the valve lever is in the „
Airtight
“ position.
•
Plug the power cord into a 230 V socket.
•
„0000“ appears on the LED display.
•
Press the „Manual“ button and then press the „+“ button to set the desired cooking time.
Each press of the button extends the cooking time by 1 minute, holding the button
speeds up adding time. If you set the cooking time, for example, 60 minutes, „P60“
will appear on the LED display. You can edit the cooking time by pressing the „+“ or „-“
button.
Slow cook
Due to the slow cooking nature, the meat does not brown, as if cooked in a pan
or oven. Before slow cooking, it is not necessary to fry the meat or poultry, but
you can do this if the meat tastes more to you. Frying minced beef, bacon and sausage
before slow cooking may be desirable if you want to remove excess fat from the meat.
Avoid opening the pot during slow cooking as this will cause considerable heat and steam
loss. If you still have to open the pot, do it as quickly as possible. Some foods such as
carrots, potatoes and beets require longer cooking than meat, so cut them into smaller
pieces before adding them to the meat.
• The valve lever is in the „
Exhaust
“ position.
