SAN Annunciator Manual
Application
The ISP Panels are general purpose switch and LED panels for use with
rack mounted IRC-3 and FCC components for operator interfacing. Uses
and operation vary with the application. Typical use includes HVAC
control, fire fighter telephone circuits, audio evacuation and paging
systems, and other functions in the Life Safety System requiring control
and annunciation of field devices or systems.
ISP-96-2
In typical fire-fighter telephone applications using the ISP-96-2, the UP
switch position is used to select an incoming call, the DOWN position to
place the circuit to the normal or off line operation. One of the associated
LEDs is used to indicate the circuit calling in; the other LED is used to
indicate that the circuit has been connected to the master handset.
ISP-96-3
In typical HVAC applications, the ISP-96-3 switches may be used as H-
O-A (Hand-Off-Automatic) controls to override the automatic operation
of the system, the two associated LEDs may be programmed for
indicating the status of the fans or dampers using limit switches, Run/Stop
contacts, etc., as monitored by M500CF, M500MF, RZB12-6, or UIO-12
modules.
When an ISP-96-3 is used in a typical Audio Evacuation System
application, the UP switch position is used for circuit page, the DOWN
switch position for circuit silence, and the CENTER position for the
normal/automatic control mode of the speaker circuit. The LEDs are used
to indicate the silenced or active condition of the speaker circuit.
Caution:
DO NOT enable the SAN-COM feature when using an ISP-
96, as the first 8 inputs/outputs connected to any SAN-CPU are
automatically assigned SAN-COM functions.
