Annunciator Configuration
IRC-3 and FCC/PCPU RS-485 Data Line
Switch Setup
All Dip switches should be set in the
OFF
position. S1-4 clears the
database and loads the default parameters.
Program Requirements
A special configuration program (CMDNPGM.EXE) supplied on the
LSS4 Configuration, IRC-3 Data Entry, and FCC Compiler disks is
used to configure the annunciators and to download program data into
the LSRA(-C)’s EEPROM memory. Each annunciator must be
configured and have its configuration downloaded into its memory
before it will operate. There is no default configuration installed
information in the annunciator as shipped from the factory.
Project name and location information is entered to uniquely identify
each individual project.
Each annunciator connected to an IRC-3 or FCC/PCPU data line must
have its base network panel address for the first 88 messages and up to
three additional addresses entered. Annunciator location information
should also be entered.
Each annunciator connected to an FCC/DCPU printer port must have
its “display ID” and annunciator location information entered.
The operation of the front panel switches on the LSRA must be
configured in conjunction with the front panel Enable/Disable
password.
All annunciators must have the type and text content of messages to be
displayed configured and downloaded into the annunciator’s memory.
Message routing and printer configuration information must also be
configured for each annunciator, as well as its “Geographic Category.”
Worksheets are provided at the end of this document to facilitate the
design and configuration of the annunciators.
