3.1 Water Supply Tank (ES-WT2)
3.1.1 Purpose - Use
To supply the chamber humidity system with water from a refillable water tank. The volume of water is
about 5-6 gallons. The water consumption of the chamber will vary with the set point selected, however,
one tank of water should last at least 48 hours (for an open loop system). One tank of water for a closed
loop water tank system should last at least 7 days.
Procedure:
(Reference system photo/diagram on
)
Pressurizing the bladder tank
1.
Warning: for correct operation, the water tank must be properly pressurized on the air side before the
pump is started.
2.
Follow instructions on the tank label and check air pressure after filling and before starting the pump. AIr
valve is a standard tire valve, a compressed air hose or hand pump may be used to pressurize. Pres-
sure can be reduced by pressing the center pin in the valve.
Installation for open loop (i.e. non-recirculating) water tank system
1.
Locate the water tank system next to or behind the chamber.
2.
Lock water tank base casters to keep water system from moving.
3.
Connect the system water supply to the chamber with the 3/8” hose (included with this option). Refer-
ence the chamber user’s manual for location of water supply connection on the chamber.
4.
Remove the water tank lid and fill with water, replace lid.
5.
Connect the water system pump to 115VAC power (max. amp draw: 1.5A)
Installation for closed loop (i.e. recirculating) water tank system
4.
Connect the system return/drain hose between the chamber drain connection and the water tank inlet
hole. This is a 1/2” hose connection; the hose comes with the chamber.
5.
Remove the water tank lid and fill with water, replace lid.
6.
Connect the water system pump to 115VAC power (max. amp draw: 1.5A)
