it using an appropriate method, such as

micro drill or compressed
air.

Clean

With the Pilot Cover
removed you now
have access to clean the thermocoup
le. Do
this by wiping it down with a rag or other ap
propriate cleanin
g tools in
order to
remove any soot from the surface.

Paint Firebox

If there are any scrapes or da
mage to the paint on the inside of the firebox you may
wish to touch up th
e paint. To do this
, use
a suitable high temperatu
re matt black
paint. Do not pu
t any paint on

e burner, as there is a risk
of blocking burner po
rts.

Inspect F
lue System

to the flue system, inspec
t it for da
mage or potential blockages
(includ
ing the cowl). Ensure eac
h flue c
omponent is twist-locke
d into the adjacen
t
components,
and
that
there are no
combustible objects or
material within 25mm of
either side or below flue componen
ts or 50m
m above any flue comp
onents, as
shown in the diagram below:

Gene
ral Clean a
nd Inspec
tion
:
A general clean of the fire
should be undertaken by wiping down or dusting all
accessible
areas
and
surfaces.
