Other errors
Other errors may also occur, indicating possible defects in the connected device.
•
Does the connected device attain the desired temperature very slowly
or not at all?
–
The maximum target temperature depends on the correspond-
ing power rating of the solder bath/heating plate (see Operating
Instructions).
–
Certain Ersa solder baths have a switch for reducing the heater
power. These solder baths may be used in combination with the
RA 4500 D only at the maximum heater output

The station permanently displays excessive actual temperatures (re
-
placement of the temperature sensor).
•
The station permanently indicates insufficient temperature (
��
).

If the connected device is being heated, then the cause lies with
the temperature sensor or its power feed.

If the connected device does not become hot, then the cause can
lie with the plug connection between the device and the control
station or with defective heating elements of the device.
Note:
Operations on electrical equipment and components under voltage may
be performed only by qualified electricians.

Maintenance
7.1
Important care operations
Note:
Only use genuine Ersa consumables and spare parts in order to ensure
reliable functioning and to maintain the warranty on the unit.

Make certain that the effectiveness of the ventilation holes is not
impaired by a build-up of dust.
The control station requires no special care or maintenance. Nevertheless, heed the
notes contained in the operating instructions of the solder bath or the heating plate.
