Error diagnosis and remedies
6.1
General errors
If the control station does not operate as expected, check the following items:
• Is mains voltage present? (Correctly connect the mains lead to the
device and socket.)

Is the fuse defective? The station does not have its own load protec
-
tion, so that the voltage supply is exclusively protected by the series
fuse of the mains connection.
• Is the device correctly connected to the supply unit?
If the device does not heat up after the above items have been checked, the cause may
lie with the device itself (see its Operating instructions) or with the temperature sensor.
You can check the continuity in the temperature sensor with an ohmmeter (Figure 9).
Continuity check for temperature sensor
The continuity resistance between measuring points 7 and
3 should be less than 25 ohms. If the continuity resistance
is higher, the sensor must be repaired.
Parameter changes not possible
If the station is protected by a password, the parameters only can be changed by enter
-
ing the correct password (see chapter 5.3.7 Password feature)
