The cuff pressure must not exceed 300 mmHg

The measuring time should not exceed 2 minutes

A repeated measure is to be taken only after 2 min. rest

Protect the instrument from breaking and heavy vibration

Protect the instrument from dirt and moisture

Avoid damaging the rubber parts from sharp or pointed objects

Store the instrument at a temperature between 10 and 40°C and a relative
air humidity below 85 %

Do not expose the instrument, in particular the rubber parts, to direct
ultraviolet radiation

The cuff is to be used with a hygienic protective strip or it must be cleaned
before it is used for the next patient.
7. Maintenance and care
a) Manometer
In principle the manometer is maintenance-free. Dust particles in the air can
block the filter in the main body after a certain time. The bulb can be removed for
cleaning or replacement.
b) Cuff
Before cleaning the cuff, the rubber bag must be removed. Covers with velcro
fastening are to be folded before washing so that the parts of fleece and of hooks
are well attached.

Disinfecting
The cuffs have been tested to withstand the
following recommended disinfectants:
Cidex, Sporiciden, Microzid, Isopropyl-
alcohol 70%, Ethanol 70%, Buratan liquid.
After washing in disinfectants the cuff cover
should be rinsed and allowed to air dry.
Sterilization
The cuff has been tested to withstand
Ethylene Oxide (EtO) gas sterilisation. Be sure that
all safety precautions regarding
aeration after EtO exposure are followed.
