Working with the Electrosurgical Unit
Make power connection, switch on unit, function test,
the Guide window
1. Make power connection
The supply voltage must match the voltage specified on the unit's rating plate.
Connect the unit to a properly installed grounded outlet. Only use the ERBE power
cord or an equivalent power cord for this purpose. The power cord must bear the
national test symbol.
2. Switch on unit, performance
test
Use the power switch to switch the unit on. The unit carries out a performance test.
The version number of the software appears on the display.
3. The Guide window

Once the performance test has been completed, you will see the
Guide
window. You
will see:
•
The name of the instrument receptacle: MF receptacle.
•
The mode: BiClamp with AUTO STOP.
•
The effect: Effect 1.
You can work with these settings immediately. Changing the settings is not possible
and also not necessary.
Calling up Setup
In
SETUP
you can adapt some of the unit's parameters to suit your requirements. You
can adapt the the following parameters:
Brightness
Display of screen brightness in 16 levels.
Volume
Selection of the volume level of the warning signals in 16 levels. The warning signals
must be clearly audible!
