3) Allow the cutting head to rise to the upright
position (See fi g. 12).
4) Remove the cover plate screw (2) with a
Phillips screwdriver. (See fi g. 12)
5) Push down slightly on the the lock lever (3)
and then raise the lower blade guard (4) to the up
position. (See fi g. 13)
6) Rotate the cover plate (5) towards the rear of
the tool to expose the arbour bolt (6).
7) Place the blade spanner (7) over the arbour
bolt (See fi g. 14).
8) Locate the arbour lock (8) on the motor, below
the switch handle. (See fi g. 15)
9) Press the arbour lock, holding it in fi rmly
while turning the blade spanner clockwise. The
arbour lock will engage after turning the spanner.
Continue to hold the arbour locking to keep it
engaged, while turning the spanner clockwise to
loosen the arbour bolt.
10) Remove the arbour bolt (11), the outer blade
collar (10) and the blade (9). Do not remove the
inner blade collar. (See fi g. 16)
Note:
Pay attention to the pieces removed,
noting their position and direction they face. Wipe
the blade collars clean of any sawdust before
installing a new blade.
10. Installing Blade
Unplug the mitre saw before changing/installing
the blade.
Note:
Ensure that the saw blade bore is exactly
the correct size for this machine and the diameter
does not exceed 216 mm.
1) Install a 216 mm blade with 30 mm arbour,
making sure the rotation arrow on the blade
matches the clockwise rotation arrow on the upper
guard and the blade teeth are pointing downward.
2) Place the outer blade collar (10) against the
blade and on the arbour. Thread the arbour
bolt (11) onto the arbour in a counterclockwise
direction (See fi g. 16).
IMPORTANT
Make sure the fl ats of the blade collars are
engaged with the fl ats on the arbour shaft.
3) Place the blade spanner on the arbour bolt.
4) Press the arbour lock (8), holding it in fi rmly
while turning the blade counterclockwise. When
arbour lock engages, continue to press it in while
tightening the arbour bolt securely (See fi g. 15).
Note:
Do not press arbour lock (8) when blade is
moving.
