Moving and Transporting the Printer

Important:

Strong impacts may damage the printer.
❏
Leave the ink cartridges installed. Removing the cartridges can dry out the print head and may prevent the
printer from printing.
❏
Do not remove the maintenance box; otherwise ink may leak.
❏
Do not leave the printer in direct sunlight, near heaters, inside cars or other locations that are subject to high
temperatures. The printer may be deformed or ink may leak.
Note:
If print quality has declined the next time you print, clean and align the print head.
Moving Indoors or Outdoors

Important:
We recommend taking the printer as hand luggage on airplanes. Contact your airline to confirm if you can take the
device on their airplanes. Depending on handling at the airport, the printer could be damaged or ink may leak due
to strong impacts.

Turn off the printer, and make sure the power light and the LCD screen turn off.
❏
Disconnect the AC adapter and the USB cable.
❏
Close the printer cover to carry the printer.
❏
Do not put anything on the printer.
Transporting
Prepare the printer for transport, pack it in its box using the protective materials, and then transport the printer.

When transporting the printer, place the printer as shown in the illustration.
