Make sure the printer is turned off and the screen
has turned off, and then unplug the power cable
from the outlet.

Leave the printer for a minute.

Open the front cover.

Raise the media loading lever.

Wipe while rotating the roller sections one by
one.

Important:
Ensure the cloth does not touch the shaft
above the rollers (gray area in the illustration)
when wiping. Otherwise, grease will adhere to
the cloth. If a stained cloth touches the roller,
the roller is stained with grease.

Wipe lint, dust, and adhered ink using a brush or
soft cloth that has been soaked in water and
squeezed well.
Carefully remove lint and dust stuck in the
groove of the platen.

Wipe lint and dust adhered to the media holding
plates using a soft cloth that has been soaked in
water and squeezed well.

Important:
When media with glue has been used, wipe
away glue using a diluted neutral detergent. If
glue from the media adheres to the rear side of
the plates, it may result in the print head
striking during printing.
When self-adhesive media has been used, or ink
has adhered
Remove the media holding plates from the
printer and wipe stains from the front and rear
surfaces.
When stains are removed, be sure to attach the
plates to their original positions.
