Winding paper forward

Plug the power cord into an outlet, and make sure
the sensor light is on.

Turn on the printer by pressing the

button.

Make sure the Auto Take-up Reel Unit icon is
displayed on the LCD panel.

If the icon is not displayed, make sure the Auto
Take-up Reel Unit is connected properly and the
power is on.

Set the roll paper.

See

“Loading roll paper” on page 25

Press the

button to select Roll Auto Cut Off

or Roll Auto Cut On

Press the

button to feed the roll paper.

Tape the leading edge of the roll paper to the
take-up reel core in three places.

Press the

button to feed the paper forward

and create a loop of slack.

Set the

Manual

switch to

Forward

and hold it for

a while to take up the roll paper for three or more
revolutions of the take-up paper core.

After taking up the paper, ensure that there is
adequate slack between the roll paper and the
take-up reel core.
