(1 ) When the pro g ra mming mo de is exited,
the siren chirps twice.
(2 ) Pro g ra mming chirps a re no t deleted
with o ne -time o r perma nent chirp
delete.
A. Do o r Lo ck – Test the do o r lo ck by pressing
the lo ck and unlo ck butto ns. If the do o r lo ck
do es no t respo nd, shut do wn then reco nnect
the alarm unit’ s po wer, o r manually perfo rm
the do o r lo ck/ unlo ck prio rity learn o peratio n
(see abo ve).
B.
Testing wire co nnectio ns – O ften, when trying
to trace a pro blem between a trig g er input,
wiring, and the alarm brain, o ne place to
test is at the alarm brain itself. Set the VO M
fo r (+ ) o r (-), depending o n the trig g er, then
pro be the appro priate wire near the alarm
brain while testing the trig g er. Fo r instance,
to determine why a
(-) do o r trig g er is no t wo rking, pro be and
test the BLUE WIRE o f the 6 -pin co nnecto r
near that co nnecto r. If the BLUE wire sho ws
(-) when the do o r is o pened, then the
pro blem may be caused by the user no t
arming the alarm co rrectly, o r the alarm
brain may be defective. But if the BLUE wire
do es no t sho w (-) when the do o r is o pened,
the pro blem may be a lo o se o r defective pin
switch o r wire co nnectio n.
C . Senso r delay times – The vario us senso rs
have a sho rt delay fro m the time the alarm is
armed until the senso r can be trig g ered.
Therefo re, after arming the alarm, wait until
after the delay perio d befo re testing the
senso r to be sure that senso r is o perating
pro perly:
(1 ) Hardwired trig g ers – 4 - seco nd delay.
(2 ) Sho ck (auxiliary senso rs) and C urrent
sensing – 6 0 seco nd delay fo r facto ry
remo te and 4 - seco nd delay fo r the
o ptio nal ENFO RC ER remo te.
D. Trig g ered zo ne recall – When the alarm is
armed, trig g er any o ne zo ne o f the car. Then
disarm the alarm. The number o f flashes o n
the LED will indicates which zo ne was last
trig g ered, reg ardless o f when it was trig g ered:
(1 ) 1 flash – The ig nitio n was trig g ered.
(2 ) 2 flashes – Panic was trig g ered.
(3 ) 3 flashes – Sho ck o r auxiliary senso r was
trig g ered.
(4 ) 4 flashes – A do o r was o pened.
(5 ) 5 flashes – The ho o d o r trunk was
o pened.
(6 ) 6 flashes – The current senso r was
trig g ered.
This memo ry display will sto p o nly after 1 5
seco nds o f inactivity.
TIPS FOR TESTING THE ALARM
When the adapter is po wered up fo r the first
time and if the adapter will be wo rking with the
facto ry remo te, then it is necessary to manually
teach the adapter the co rrect do o r lo ck/ unlo ck
po larity as fo llo ws:
1 . Disarm the alarm
2 .
Fo r a succe ssful le arning, It is impo rtant to
manually lo ck the do o r lo ck switch o n the
do o r pane l.
3 . Turn the ig nitio n switch O N.
4 . Within 1 5 seco nds, turn the VEPLe switch o n
fo r 4 seco nds. The siren will chirp o nce to
co nfirm the alarm has entered the po larity
learn mo de. Then the alarm will
auto matically learn the arm input, disarm
input and disarm defeat input.
5 . Turn the ig nitio n switch O FF and siren will
chirp twice to indicate a sucessful learning.
