Information on flow measurement
In the "Flow" measuring mode, the device determines a volume or mass flow value from the
differential pressure measured. The differential pressure is generated by means of primary
devices such as Pitot tubes or orifice plates and depends on the volume flow or mass flow.
Four flow measuring modes are available: volume flow, norm volume flow (European norm
conditions), standard volume flow (American standard conditions) and mass flow.
In addition, the Deltabar S software is equipped with two totalizers as standard. The
totalizers add up the volume or the mass flow. The counting function and the unit can be set
separately for both totalizers. The first totalizer (totalizer 1) can be reset to zero at any time
while the second (totalizer 2) totalizes the flow from commissioning onwards and cannot be
reset.
• By means of the FieldCare operating program, a Quick Setup menu is available for each of
the measuring modes pressure, level and flow which guides you through the most
important basic functions. With the setting in the MEASURING MODE parameter, you
specify which Quick Setup menu should be displayed.
64, Section 7.4 "Selecting the
language and measuring mode". No Quick Setup menus are available for the FF
configuration programs.
• For a detailed description of the parameters, see Operating Instructions BA00303P

WARNING
!
Changing the measuring mode affects the span (URV)!
This situation can result in product overflow.
‣
If the measuring mode is changed, the span setting (URV) must be verified in the
"Calibration"
"Basic Setup" operating menu and, if necessary, reconfigured!
