Hold the handle of the head cover with one hand, then tilt cover up until it engages 

mechanically.

To retrieve the pipetting head or capillary head, proceed as follows:

-

Only for capillary head:

 Disconnect compressed air supply tube from connec-

tor terminal at the system, not at the head (

 

 see Fig. 121

).

-

Hold pipetting head at its handle with one hand.

-

Slightly raise the pipetting head.

-

Carefully pull the head off, supporting it with the other hand. Use recessed 

handle at magazine adapter bottom for this purpose.

-

Place pipetting head onto a stable support base.

CAUTION

There is danger of crushing or pinching as the cover is opened or closed! 

To open or close the cover, hold it at the handle with one hand! Keep the other hand 

clear of the system space!

CAUTION

Risk of crushing! 

A pipetting head weighs approx. 14 kg, a capillary head approx. 10 kg.
