NOZZLE DIAMETER AND AIR JET SIZE
9.9.1 The nozzle orifice size is normally twice the size of the air jet orifice size.
EXAMPLE:
A 5/32” air jet will be used with a 5/16” nozzle.
A drill bit may be used to measure the orifice sizes. If the nozzle diameter increases
by 1/16” or more, replace it.
9.9.2 The air jet must be checked for wear every 80 hours of blast time. Erosion of the air
jet tip will disrupt airflow inside of the suction gun body. Change the air jet when
uneven erosion is present.
