Capacity Measurement

1.  To measure capacity, plug the head of the black (negative)

tipped measuring conductor into the “COM” socket and the

head of the red (positive) conductor into the “INPUT” socket.

2.  Use the circular switch to select between 1,000 µF, 20 µF

or nF range.

3.  Choose automatic or manual measurement using the

RANGE button.

4.  Connect the measuring tips to the measured object (capaci-

tor). If the object is e.g. an electrolytic capacitor, observe cor-

rect polarity when measuring. (red measuring cable should

be connected to the positive pole of the capacitor, black to

the negative pole of the capacitor).

The screen will show the measured capacity value.

Note: When the capacity range is low, the capacity value on the

screen may be unstable. In that case, the measuring tips were not

connected to the object (capacitor). This is a normal phenomenon

and does not affect measurement.

Circuit Continuity Test

1.  To test circuit continuity, plug the head of the black

(negative) tipped measuring conductor into the “COM”

socket and the head of the red (positive) conductor into

the “INPUT” socket.

2.  Use the circular switch to select  .

3.  Use the FUNC button to select circuit continuity measure-

ment; the screen will display the   symbol.

4.  Connect the measuring tips to the measured circuit.

If the resistance of the measured circuit is lower than 30 Ω,

the buzzer will turn on.

Diode Measurement

1.  To measure diodes, plug the head of the black (negative)

tipped measuring conductor into the “COM” socket and the

head of the red (positive) conductor into the “INPUT” socket.

2.  Use the circular switch to select

.

3.  Use the FUNC button to select diode measurement; the

screen will display the

 symbol.

4.  Connect the red measuring tip to the anode of the diode

and black measuring tip to the cathode.

5.  The screen will show the approximate voltage in the direc-

tion of the current flow. If polarity is switched, “OL” will

appear on the screen.

Transistor Measurement (Gain)

1.  Use the circular switch to select hFE range.

2.  Connect the adapter for measuring transistors into the COM

(minus) and INPUT (plus) sockets according to figure 2. Make

sure the connection is correct!

3.  Before measuring, determine whether the transistor is of

type NPN or PNP and determine the base, emitter and col-

lector. Plug the transistor leads into the designated holes

in the adapter.

4.  The screen will show an approximate hFE gain value of

the transistor.

(see Fig. 2)

1 – Transistor Test Socket

Temperature Measurement

1.  Use the circular switch to select Temp range.

2.  Use the FUNC button to select between °C or °F units.

3.  Plug the black head (minus) of type K temperature probe

into the COM socket and the red head (plus) of the probe

into the INPUT socket .

4.  Carefully place the end of the temperature probe onto the

measured object. The measured object must not be live; be

mindful of any rotary parts of various devices.

5.  Wait a moment and the screen will display the measured

temperature.

Note: The type K temperature probe included in the multimeter is

designed for measuring temperatures ranging from -20 °C to 250 °C.

Measuring temperatures higher than 250 °C may cause damage to

the temperature probe and the multimeter! If you wish to measure

higher temperatures, use a different temperature probe with a higher

measurement range!

Automatic Switch-off

The multimeter switches off automatically after 15 minutes of

inactivity. Before switching off automatically, the multimeter will

beep several times. The multimeter will then switch off within 1

minute, accompanied by a longer beep.

The multimeter can be turned back on by pressing any button

or by turning the circular range switch.

If you press a button

 after an automatic switch.off, the

automatic switch-off function will be disabled.

Replacing Batteries

If the screen shows the

symbol, it is necessary to change

batteries. To change batteries, use a screwdriver of corresponding

size (a smaller screwdriver may damage the lock) and gently turn

the lock on the back of the multimeter by 90° (see fig. 3). Using

brute force may result in damage to the rotary lock. Replace the

drained batteries with 3× 1.5 V AAA batteries. Use batteries with

the prescribed parameters. We recommend using high-quality

alkaline batteries. Make sure to observe the correct polarity of

the batteries. Once you have changed the batteries, replace the

cover and carefully turn the lock back.

Before replacing batteries, disconnect the measuring tips

from the measured circuit or device.

(see Fig. 3)

Replacing a Fuse

If a fuse burns out, it is most commonly caused by improper use.

The multimeter uses fuses with the following parameters: F 250

mA L 300 V, quick response.

The fuse is located under the battery cover. Always replace the

fuse with a fuse of the same type and with the same parameters.

Replace and close the battery cover.

To replace an F 10 A L 300 V fuse, contact a service centre.

Before replacing a fuse, disconnect the measuring tips from

the measured circuit or device.

Accessories

1 manual

1 pair of measuring tips

1 type K temperature probe

1 adapter for measuring transistors

1 battery cover lock

The device is not intended for use by persons (including

children) whose physical, sensory or mental disability or lack

of experience and expertise prevents safe use, unless they are

supervised or instructed in the use of this device by a person

responsible for their safety. It is necessary to supervise children

to ensure they do not play with the device.

Do not dispose with domestic waste. Use special collection

points for sorted waste. Contact local authorities for infor-

mation about collection points. If the electronic devices

would be disposed on landfill, dangerous substances may reach

groundwater and subsequently food chain, where it could affect

human health.
