8. OPERATING LOGISTIC
Booster pump
For systems equipped with an "open collector", if Pump1 is automatically
activated by the Smart-MT, a relay pump can be connected: phase "L" to
terminal K of the PCB Terminal Block and neutral "N" to the PdC terminal
block.
In this way the booster pump will work in parallel to Pump 1.

NOTE
If Pump1 is activated by closing terminals E and J, the terminal K can not
be used.
In this case, a support relay can be installed to active a booster pump as
reported following:

8.3 Cooling /Heating operation MODE
Three ways are available to change the mode of operation of the HP,
Depending on the setting of parameter 101, inside the HP label menu,
you have:
- 101=0:
Change through SMART-MT (and CRONO-TH if installed)
- 101=1:
Change through external contact "Remote Cool / Heat"
(terminals 11-12 of the PCB-TERMINAL BLOCK), heating mode = open
contact)
- 101=2:
Change through external contact "Remote Cool / Heat"
heating mode = closed contact (default value)
Change through external contact
Default setting: Par 101=2
inside the HP label menu, you have:
Change mode through SMART-MT. The operating mode is inverted
by keeping the
Esc
key pressed.
Mode change through CRONO-TH . The operating mode is inverted by
keeping the
Esc
key pressed.
8.4 Limit of frequency "NIGHT MODE"
Normally the DC-INVERTER heat pump control system modulates the
compressor capacity based on the request of the thermal potential. If
there are needs in having to reduce the maximum value of: capacity,
electric absorption and / or compressor noise, for example in night-time
operation, it is possible to activate the "Night Mode" function using the
appropriate external contact (terminals 9-10 of the PCB TERMINAL
BLOCK). With CLOSED CIRCUIT the maximum frequency will be decreased
to the value of Parameter
102.
8.5 SET POINT 2 Activation
Normally the heat pump regulates the water outlet temperature accord-
ing to the operating mode and the relative climatic curve for radiant ter-
minals (Set point 1- Low temperature).
In this way environmental comfort is obtained, optimizing the efficiency
of the PDC and the relative consumption of electricity.
When air terminal units are to be supplied, must to be actived a second
level (SET POINT-2) of the water supply temperature. This activation
takes place by closing the "Set Point 2" contact (13-14 PCB TERMINAL
BLOCK terminals).
When the contact is closed, the unit will operate according to the "Set
Point 2" climatic curves".
