20. Loosen all of the locking pins in the access fitting. The locking pins should only be screwed out until
the head of the pin is flush with the outside of the access fitting. The locking pins should be easy to
loosen. If the locking pins are difficult to loosen (high friction), the pump pressure might be too low.
Tighten the locking pins and then increase the pressure. Loosen locking pins again.

21. Check to ensure that the service valve handles are fully open. Also check that the bleed-off valve on
the retrieval tool is closed and that both by-pass valves are closed on the service valve.
22. Close head valve to keep the pressure within the retriever.
The locking pins should only be screwed out until the head of the pin is flush with the outside
of the access fitting. No threads must be visible. If the pins are unscrewed too far, they will
leak when the plug is retrieved.
