Connectivity Options

Overview

Modbus® and Data Highway Plus® (DH+) are factory options that 
allow the AXIMA 2000/4000 controller to communicate with the 
Modicon Modbus serial communication protocol or Allen Bradley’s 
Data Highway Plus. 

NOTE:

AXIMA 2000/4000 controllers can be equipped with either 
Modbus or DH+. They cannot be used simultaneously. 

AXIMA 2000/4000 controllers equipped with the Modbus option 
have two serial connectors on the left-side of the AXIMA 2000/4000, 
Com 3 and Com 4. Com 3 is an RS-232C nine-pin DB connector and 
Com 4 is an RS-485 six-pin Phoenix® connector used for multi-drop 
systems.

AXIMA 2000/4000 controllers equipped with the DH+ option are 
equipped with one serial connector (Com 4) on the left-side of the 
AXIMA 2000/4000. Com 4 is an RS-485 six-pin Phoenix connector.
