Regular maintenance of the EMERALD with flushing of the filter elements and the electro-
chemical module is required (see the section “MAINTENANCE OF THE DEVICE”).

Do not use the first 30 liters of purified water immediately after connecting the device or after 
washing the device with the citric acid. In case of long downtime of the device (more than 1 
day) the first 30 liters of purified water should also be discharged.

The device is designed for purification and treatment of COLD WATER ONLY!    Never use 
the warm or hot water in the device as this may damage the device (see the section “OPERA-
TION OF THE DEVICE”)
