Install the Disk Library Console
The management station on which you install the Disk Library Console must have a
LAN port that is connected to the network to which the DL server is connected. This
enables communication between the DL server and the management station.
The Disk Library Console uses TCP port 11576 to communicate with the DL server,
and port 11577 for remote copy operations. If you plan to have the Disk Library
Console and the DL server communicate through a firewall, you must open both
ports.
To install the Disk Library Console:
1. Insert the EMC Disk Library Console and Software Documentation CD into the
CD-ROM drive. The CD automatically launches a menu screen.
If the CD does not automatically launch a menu screen, navigate to the CD-ROM
drive in an Explorer window, and select the Launch.exe file.
2. Select Software. A software window is displayed.
3. Follow the instructions on the Software window to install the Disk Library
Console.
