Step 10
Configure the Navisphere domain
Perform the following steps within Navisphere:
1. Create a Disk Library domain, where you assign the master node (
Disk Library domain” on page 20
).
2. Set up a customer account with monitor privileges (
).
Creating a Disk Library domain
To create or modify a domain, you must be logged in to a global administrator
account. All storage systems that you want to add to (or remove from) the domain
must be running the storage management server software.
Selecting or changing a master node
Before configuring a domain, you should select a master node for it. The master node
(the SP you designate) holds the master copy of all global information in the domain.
This information will be copied to all member nodes in the domain. If there is any
discrepancy between node information, the information on the master is considered
the correct version.
If a master node already exists, and you define a new one, the old master node will be
automatically demoted.
1. On the computer that has the supported browser and Java Runtime
Environment (JRE), open the browser, and enter the IP address of a storage
system SP.
The software displays a login dialog box that requests your username, password,
and scope (local or global).
2. Log in using the username cdlsupport, password wabisabi, and scope global.
A message appears indicating that a domain has not been configured for the
storage system. Click OK.
