Setting Up and Starting a CX700 System
CAUTION
!
Be sure to maintain power and loop integrity when cabling your
storage system. Always connect power supply A, SPS A, SP A,
LCC A(s), and DAE power/cooling module A (on the first DAE)
together in one power/loop configuration. Connect all the B
components together in the same manner.
Making Power Connections - ac Power Source
Note that the CX700 uses retention bails to relieve strain on the ac power
cords and to keep the cords seated in their connectors.
Refer to Figure 2-3 as you connect the ac line cord to the power
supplies.
1. At the back of the cabinet, rotate the retention bail on each power
supply out of the way of the ac connector.
2. Plug the ac line cord into each power supply.
3. Return the retention bail to its original position.
4. Push the cord into the bail loop to hold the cord in position.
