Power sources
This unit requires ether 4X “R14” Size/1.5V batteries (not included) or a 9V --- 500mA -/+
--logo adaptor having a positive center. (not included)
Battery installations:
1. Carefully open the battery cover by rotating the screw on the battery cover of the unit
counterclockwise unit the cover is separated from the unit.
2. Insert four(4) “R14” size/1.5V batteries following the polarity as indicated in the
compartment . Alkaline batteries are recommended for the longest playing time.
3. Close the battery cover by rotating the screw clockwise until it is tight.
AC operation
To operate the unit using AC power, connect a 9V --- 500mA -/+ --logo AC adaptor (not
included) to an AC outlet . Plug the small end into the DC 9V jack on the unit and connect the
other end into the AC outlet. The batteries are automatically disconnected when the Adapter is
used.
CAUTION: When not using AC power, disconnect the AC adapter from the wall outlet by
pulling the plug (not the cord).Do not touch the AC adapter with wet hands and plug fully
inserted without exposing any part of the blade.
To play the radio
Step 1: Slide the
AUTO/OFF/ON
switch to the
“ON”
position.
Step 2: Select the desired radio band with the
AM/FM
switch.
Step 3: Select the desired radio station by
turning
the Tuning knob.
Step 4: Adjust the
Volume
to the desired listening level.
To use the automatic play function slide the
AUTO/OFF/ON
switch to the
“AUTO”
position.
Detection distance can be up to 6 METER, while people enter into the effective area and
make motion, the unit will play automatically. Otherwise it will turn off automatically after about
3 minutes since there is no detection signal occurred (for example , people is out of the
detective area or makes no motion).
Note: The sensitivity (Detection distance) is related to the moving direction as below.
Infrared Sensor
When using the sensor function, to ensure it works, please note as follows:
a. mount highness from the floor shall be 2.0-2.2Meter.
b. the unit shall be far away from things that may cause a big change of the environment
temperature such as air-condition, icebox, stove and so on.
c. No partitions placed at effective detection area.
Important:
1. Always turn your radio off when you do not need to use; leaving it on will shorten the life
batteries.
2. Remove batteries if your unit is not going to be used for long period, because the old
batteries can leak and cause corrosion. Damaging your unit .
3. Should you find the sensitivity or quality of sound deteriorating , replace all the batteries
with new ones as soon possible.
Only use the appliance for its intended purpose.
Professional recycling
Batteries and packaging should not be disposed of in the trash. Batteries must be
handed over to a collection centre for used batteries. Separating disposable packaging
materials is ecologically friendly.
Heat and warmth
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight. Make sure that the appliance is not
subject to direct heat sources such as heaters or open fire. Make sure that the ventilation
slots of the appliance are not covered.
Moisture and cleaning
This appliance is not waterproof! Do not immerse player in water. Do not allow player to
come in contact with water. If water gets inside the player it may cause serious damage.
Do not use cleaning agents that contain alcohol, ammoniac, benzene or abrasives as
these could damage the player. For cleaning, use a soft, moistened cloth.
