5. Functions
5.1 Addition/Subtraction
This function is used when you need a total result, consisting of several measurements. This is
done by adding the result of the last complete result (addition) or subtracting (subsequent) the
results. Start by completing the first measurement.
Note!
A complete measurement depends on the selected function.
For general distance measurement, whit only one measurement (seen in
summary line 4
), you
can either add
or subtract
the result of the next measurement. The display shows + or
-. The two measured results are shown on
intermediate line 2
and
3
and the calculated results
in
summary line 4
.
Functions such as Area or Volume where 2 and 3 measurements are required, complete these
before pressing either
or
button. The results of e.g. two area measurements are
shown on
intermediate line 2
and
3
and the calculated result is seen in
summary line 4
.
Note!
During measurements, you can change the sign, for example, if you want to draw a
measured distance from the total distance. Press the
button before the next measurement.
Note!
If you use the
button to delete the last measurement, then only the overall result will
be seen in
intermediate line 2.
5.2 Area measurement
Press the
Area/Volume button once. The Area symbol
appears in the display.
Press the
button to take the first length measurement (e.g. Length).
Press again
to take the second length measurement (e.g. Width).
The result of the area measurement is displayed in
summary line 4
, the individually
measured values are displayed in
intermediate line 1
and
2
.
5.3 Volume measurement
For volume measurements, push Area/Volume
button twice until the
indicator
for volume measurement appears in the display.
Press
to takes first distance measurement (e.g. Length)
Press
to takes second distance measurement(e.g. Width)
Press
to takes the third distance measurement (e.g. Height).
The result of the area measurement is displayed in the
summary line 4
, the previously
measured values in
intermediate line 1
,
2
and
3
.
