5.4 Indirect measurement using 2 measurements
Indirect measurement d
etermining a distance using 2 measurements. (See “
Figure H
”).
Measuring heights that require two or three measurements follow these steps:
Press the Function
button until the display shows the symbol
, the distance to be measured flashes in the symbol.
First measurement [1], aim at the
upper
point and press
see the value on
intermediate line 1
.
* Aim as
horizontal
as possible.
Second measurement, press
for *horizontal measurement [2],
see the value in
intermediate line 2.
The calculated result are displayed in the
summary line 4
.
5.5 Indirect measurement of height
In cases where you cannot use height measurement with 2 measurements, you can use this
function instead. See
Figure I
.
Press The Function
button until the display shows
.
The distance to be measured flashes in the symbol.
First, aim at the
upper
point [1] and press
.
See the distance on
intermediate line 1
.
*Aim
horizontal
as possible.
Second, press
to measure the distance of the *
horizontal
point [2]. See the distance on
intermediate line 2
.
Aim to the
lower
point.
Third, press
to measure the
lower
point [3]. See the distance on
intermediate line 3
.
The calculated height
“
H
” are now displayed in the
summary line 4
5.6 Indirect measurement of partial height
In cases where you need to measure partial height, you can use this function. See
Figure J
Press The Function
button until the display shows
.
The distance to be measured flashes in the symbol.
First, aim at the
upper
point [1] and press
.
Second, aim at the next
point [2] and press
.
*
Aim
horizontal
as possible.
Third, press
to measure the distance of the *
horizontal
point [2]
.
The calculated partial height
”
H
”
(distance between point [1]
and [2] are now displayed in the
summery line 4
*
Note!
For indirect measurements see
section 5.10 Measurement with angle sensors
,
which in some cases makes
it easier to measure these heights as you don’t have to do the
horizontal (perpendicular) measurements
.
