Troubleshooting
Incorrect operation is often mistaken for trouble or malfunction. If you think that there is something wrong with
this component, check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Inspect the
other components and electrical appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified after checking the
items below, ask your nearest authorized service center or your dealer to carry out repair work.
• Allow time for condensation to evaporate. Avoid using the player near an air-
conditioning unit.
• Playback is not possible.
TV System Issue
• Please check if TV system is correctly set according to your TV.
• Please Press TV system button on your remote control slowly until you get
the right signal.
• Each time you press it, it is toggling 480i (NTSC) , 480P (NTSC Progressive
Scan) , 576i (PAL) , 576P (PAL Progressive Scan) , 720P , 1080i and back to
480i (NTSC).
Cable Connection or AV In mode of TV.
• Please check again if the cable is correctly connected to TV. (Please refer to
the Connection section)
• Please check if AV input mode is correct in your TV. Press AV input button on
TV remote control to get the right input mode where the cable from HMR is
connected.
HDMI Issue
• Some of TV do not support the NTSC (480i) PAL (576i) through HDMI input.
In this case, you can not see the Video signal correctly because the default
Video out setting of HMR is PAL (576i) or NTSC (480i).
• You can adjust Video out of HMR by pressing TV system button on your
remote control to get the 480P, 576P, 720P or 1080i which you can see the
video signal correctly through HDMI. (Please refer to the above TV system
issue)
• Please check if the video signal is OK with another inputs in TV such
as Composite, Scart, Component input which support PAL or NTSC by
connecting the RCA or Scart Cable.
Set Up Menu Issue
• Please check if TV input in Video set up menu is On while your TV do not
support AV out through Scart correctly. Please change it to Off.
• Please check if Decoder is On while you are connecting AV device except
decoding box into EURO AV IN/OUT. Please change it to Off.
Encoding Issue
• Some of AV files can not be played back due to the encoding methods. Please
make transcoding it in your computer with an proper transcoding utility.
• If you play back the file through LAN, it could not be played back correctly
depending on LAN connection. Please copy the file from LAN connected PC drive
to installed HDD and try again. (Please refer to the File copy part in the manual)
