4.4.2 Acquiring actuation devices
Warning:
before acquiring the sirens, at least one more device has to be acquired.
Warning:
devices cannot be acquired if module MR16 is armed.
To make radio module MR16 acquire one or more sirens:
1. Set radio module MR16 to acquisition mode as follows:
a. Set both DIP switches A1 and A2 to ON.
b. Press
twice control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3 beeps and LED
B
goes on steady, indicating that you entered actuation devices acquisition mode.
c. Keep pressed for 3 seconds control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3
beeps and LED
B
blinks once to indicate that actuation devices can be acquired.
2. Set DIP switch 1 of sirens (figures 19 and 22) to ON to enable learning mode. The sirens can be
acquired all together.
3. Press control pushbutton on radio module MR16 to send the code. If the code is received, the siren
sends out 1 beep (in siren HP500, LEDs 1 and 3 blink too). Then radio module sends out 2 beeps and
zone LEDs flash, indicating that the sirens were acquired. If radio module sends out one beep only, it
means that the siren had already been acquired. Should radio module not send out any beeps, repeat
point 3.
4. Set both DIP switches 1 and 2 of radio module MR16 to OFF to quit acquisition mode (radio module
MR16 sends out one two-tone beep). Radio module MR16 automatically quits acquisition mode if no
operations are performed for 3 minutes.
4.4.3 Fastening
Fix siren base to the wall with either screws or blocks, using fixing holes.
