TRAINING ZONES
In all the training modes it is possible to enable
the training zones (TZ).
These zones give an immediate indication of the
heart-rate value with reference to the rider’s
maximum heart-rate.
This value is calculated on the basis of the
rider’s age, according to the formula: HRmax =
220 – age.
There are five different work bands.
- ZONE1, when the heart-rate less than 70% the
maximum value
- ZONE2, when the heart-rate is between the
70% and 80% the maximum value
- ZONE3, when the heart-rate is between the
80% and 90% the maximum value
- ZONE4, when the heart-rate is between the
90% and 100% the maximum value
- ZONE5, when the heart-rate more than 100%
the maximum value
The zone in which the rider is working will be
signalled by an indicator “TZ” followed by the
number of the band below the actual heart-rate
value.
POWER MODE
In this mode it is possible to train by setting the
power of the resistance unit as required.
To start this mode, select POWER from the main
menu using the RH or LH buttons and confirm
the selection with the middle button.
The main screen (where the current speed,
cadence and heart-rate values are shown) of
the training session will be displayed.
Just begin pedalling to start the training ses-
sion.
From the current values screen, use the side
buttons to vary the required resistance unit
