The protection guard on the engine is attached with 1 bolt that can be undone with an Allen key.
The protection plate is secured using two bolts (M4).
The protection cover on the blade head is secured with two bolts (M6) that are undone using an
Allen key. The protection plate is also secured using two bolts (M4).
If the belt is replaced with another, original belt, everything can be replaced in its original posi-
tion.
After assembly, check that the belt does not catch on the protection covers when the depth
lever is set to a working position.
12. Storing the machine
Storage preparations
Clean the machine (see § 9.6 Cleaning the machine).
Properties of a storage area
The machine must be stored in a dry area away from precipitation.
The temperature in the storage area must be between 5 ºC and 40 ºC.
Store the machine out of the reach of children.
Never leave the machine connected to the mains when storing.
Never store the machine near heat sources or open flames. (Observe at least 2 m distance)
If the machine is stored outdoors, it must be properly covered with canvas. Avoid direct precipi-
tation on the machine. ELIET highly recommends a sheltered storage place.
Storing
Always allow the engine to cool down before storage.
When storing the machine for an extended period, we recommend that you follow the steps
below:
Check all nuts and bolts and fasten them where necessary.
To avoid rust on the machine, touch up all chipped areas or treat them with anti-rust grease.
