8.3 Assembly instructions for the Edge Styler PRO
• There are four rubber vibration dampers visible
on the lower part of the steering rack, which has
already been assembled onto the machine. The
upper part of the steering rack is to be screwed
onto the vibration dampers using the four bolts
and pinions included
• Before adjoining the upper and lower parts of the
steering rack, take care that all cables are prop-
erly hooked into place between the two parts, yet
are able to move about freely.
• Assemble the blade (read §11.4.2.5.).
8.4 Preparing the machine for use
• Each machine that leaves the factory contains no oil and fuel. The dealer must check the levels
of the oil and fuel and top them up in accordance with the instructions in this manual (or in the
engine manual.
• Prior to delivery to the customer, the machine should be thoroughly greased and lubricated
(read § 11.5).
• Let the motor undergo a quick test run. Adjust the motor’s idling speed to a maximum of
2,800 revs/min.
• Subsequently test the operation of the machine:
- Locking and unlocking the blade arm to/from operating position (cable adjustment).
- Switching on the blade driver (spring action, belt tension, ratchet on the pedal).
- Switching on tyre traction (belt tension, cable adjustment).
- Edge Styler PRO: functioning of the anti-deviation disc.
• Edge Styler PRO: Consult with the customer to pre-set the steering rack to the proper, ergo
-
nomic work height (read § 9.4.7: adjusting the steering rack).
Important information for the new owner at the time of delivery:
• Once again, the dealer should clearly define the proper ways in which the machine is to be
used.
• The dealer should orient the new owner with how the machine operates.
• The dealer should inform the new owner of all of the potential dangers.
