11.3.1 The importance of cleaning
ELIET recommends cleaning the machine after each use. We recommend using every cleaning
event to perform an inspection where you check component and machine integrity. You can,
thus, intervene on time to prevent faults and failures. This will ensure that the service life of your
machine is improved.
Not cleaning the machine will lead to:
• Increased wear rate.
• Increased risk of fire.
• Reduced motor cooling.
• Reduced performance.
• Safety stickers becoming illegible.
• Not noticing breaks or wear at an early stage.
NOTE: You will no longer be entitled to any warranty should you fail to perform proper care and
maintenance on a daily basis.
11.3.2 What does cleaning mean ?
Check the whole of the machine when cleaning and subject it to an inspection if required. Check
that the parts are not deformed, welded seams are not cracked, and that parts do not exhibit
excess play.
Important items:
• The blade mount
• Condition of the nylon bearing
• Dust seal bellows on the blade guide
If any problems are found, first conduct the necessary replacements and/or repairs. For this, fol-
low the procedures described in this manual or visit your nearest authorised ELIET dealer. ( find

Warning :
If the machine does not operate optimally, this can compromise the safety of the
user.
Caution :
Any time any work is done with or to the machine, appropriate clothing should
be worn in addition to personal safety gear. Utility gloves are necessary.
