Intended use
claros pico
is a class 4 laser device that has been developed for dental use and can be used in the following areas:

Surgery,
all applications in the field of surgical incisions.

Endodontics,
applications to reduce bacteria by decontaminating root canals.
»
Periodontology,
applications to reduce bacteria by decontaminating hard and soft tissue surfaces in combination
with the product elexxion perio green®.
»
Periimplantitis,
applications to reduce bacteria by decontaminating implant surfaces in combination with the
product elexxion perio green®.
When using the device in combination with elexxion perio green®, the information on how to use elexxion perio green®
must be observed.
All applications are pre-programmed and cannot be changed. A list of the various application programs can be found in
the appendix to these operating instructions.
Dentists are the designated users of the laser system. They must be taught about the risks of laser radiation and
trained in how to handle the laser device (laser safety officer). The laser may be used in a laser protection area only; all
individuals located in this area (user, patient, support staff, etc.) must wear laser safety glasses that comply with the
specifications given in Section 2.
The laser base unit is used to select parameters and generate the laser light, which is only emitted when the foot switch
is activated. An optical fibre connected to a handpiece is used to transmit the laser light. The laser beam is emitted at
the distal end of the fibre according to the mode and parameters selected and after activating the emission switch. This
laser beam
can cover the above indications by means of cutting or irradiating.
