Application
ELEKTRA VCD7, VCD10 and VCD17 heating cables
are primarily intended for use in the rooms with a tile
or natural stone floor covering. Additionally they
can be used with such floor covering materials as:
• Fitted carpet,
•
Vinyl flooring,
• Parquet or other wooden covering,
• Laminate.
Fitted carpets and vinyl flooring, however, should
be suitable for use with electric underfloor heat
-
ing and bear the following markings:
ELEKTRA VCD heating cables are laid (at construc-
tion stage) on the screed floor or concrete sub -
floor with a layer of thermal insulation in order
to reduce heat loss. Then the cables are covered
with an anhydrite or cement screed.

The applications of the ELEKTRA VCD heat-
ing cables also include protection of pipes
against freezing. The installation instructions
