12 MAINTENANCE
12.1 GENERAL
A systematic maintenance schedule should be set up and adhered to in order to insure
optimum machine operation. Daily, weekly, and monthly schedules should be
established as applicable for each part of the coating system.
WARNING:
ELECTRICAL VOLTAGES USED IN THIS EQUIPMENT
CAN BE HAZARDOUS. MAINTENANCE SHOULD BE
HANDLED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
12.2
COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEM
The importance of keeping the compressed air clean, dry and oil free cannot be over-
emphasized.
12.2.1 Air Line
The air line which enters the System should be kept clean and free of a particles,
water, and oil.
12.2.2 Air Filters and Lubricator
Particle Filter:
Clean and check for proper functioning. Change filter
element if dirty. See the Spare Parts List for the correct filter
number.
Coalescing Filter: Check for proper functioning and drain if necessary. Change
filter element if dirty. See the Spare Parts List for the correct
filter number.
NOTE
: A wet filter element is normal. Refer to the Appendix of this
Manual.
Lubricator:
Check for oil and proper functioning.
12.3 TRICKLE
STATION
Check hoses for wear, pin holes and clogging. If any of these conditions are present,
switch to spare pump and lines and make proper repairs or replacement.
12.3.1 Switching to Spare Pump and Lines
Step 1 - Turn machine “OFF” and make sure Main Disconnect is “OFF”.
