10 START-UP AND OPERATION PROCEDURE
10.1 OVERVIEW
There are two modes for operating the Coating Machine; Automatic and Manual.
Supervisory personnel should occasionally check the Induction Heater and Trickle
Stations operation and make adjustments as required.
Assuming that the air, electrical, and water requirements have been connected and
supplied to the machine, the following can be performed:
Step 1
Make sure that the TEE handle for the main air supply is pulled out (on).
Step 2
Make sure the Disconnect to the Main Electrical Enclosure and the
Induction Heater Unit are in the "ON" position.
Step 3
Pull “Out” the EMERGENCY STOP Pushbuttons (located at the
operator control panel, load and unload stations).
Step 4
Place the Control Switch in the “START” position to turns on control
power to the machine. The trickle station should automatically find its
home position.
Step 5
The MAIN MENU SCREEN should appear. If not, call it up.
Step 6
Make sure the Induction Heat, Oven and Trickle Station doors are
closed.
Step 7
Select the MACHINE - SYSTEM START-UP SCREEN from the MAIN
MENU SCREEN.
Step 8
Press the SELECT AUTO MODE screen pushbutton and proceed to the
MACHINE - AUTO START/STOP & STATUS SCREEN or press the
SELECT MANUAL MODE screen pushbutton and proceed to the
MACHINE - MANUAL CONTROL & SETUP SCREEN.
NOTE
: For initial startup, after installation, proceed to MACHINE -
MANUAL CONTROL & SETUP SCREEN.
NOTE:
Alarms are reported on the Banner Screen (along with an audible alarm and the Red light on
the Beacon Station). Acknowledging the alarms by pressing the Acknowledge button on the
Banner Screen removing the Alarm Message from the Banner Screen.
