ATTENTION

! The solar installation is always ready for operation. Even when the water heater is

in the "Off" mode when there is heat in the solar collector, the circulation pump will be switched
on to discharge the heat!

To support the solar installation when there is insufficient heat, the water heater can use the heat
pump and electric heater. They are managed by a method aiming at using electricity only as a last
source. This way, with the least possible extra cost, you can be sure that you will always have hot
water, whether the sun is weak or there is not solar radiation at all.

Protective modes

The protective modes are designed to protect the solar collector and boiler installations in the event
of extreme operating conditions. Whether the boiler is switched on or off, and in which mode it works,
the thermostat monitors continuously both the temperature of the water in the water tank and of the
solar collector. If necessary, a protection mode is activated from:

Protection against freezing of the solar collector.

This protection transfers heat from the

boiler   to   prevent   the   installation   of   the   solar   collector   from   freezing.   It   is   triggered   at   a

The   electric   heater   is   switched   on   if   the

temperature in the water heater drops below 3 ° C

Overheating protection of the solar collector.

If the solar collector temperature exceeds

90°C, the solar circulation pump will switch on regardless of the differential temperature. The
pump will shut off if the water temperature in the water heater exceeds 85 ° C.

Overheating protection at the top of the boiler.

If the temperature measured by the upper

thermosensor   t2   exceeds   85   °   C,   the   electric   heater   will   shut   off   until   the   temperature
measured by the same thermosensor drops below the set temperature.

". If after 21:00 the water temperature at the top of the boiler (measured by t2) is

above 77 ° C or if there is no hot water consumption until then, the temperature exceeds 60 °
C,  this mode activation will  be prepared.  Consequently,  in the  interval between 00:00 and
05:00, the solar pump will be switched on. The aim is to begin transferring heat from the water
heater to the solar collector and due to the existing energy losses on the pipes and in the solar
collector when there is no sun, the water in the water heater will cool down. So the next day will
again be able to accumulate new heat to cool down the solar collector. The pump will operate
until the temperature in the water heater drops below the setting in menu "

WARNING!

When there is a risk of  temperature drop or overheating  of the collector,  it is

advisable not to disconnect the water heater from the
power supply grid!
